What the run looks like today

Lists on paper

A sheet on the walk-in door, another behind the bar. Someone has to collect them and copy them out.

Orders in group texts

“Did anyone ask for limes?” Nobody can say who ordered what, or whether it was already bought.

Receipts that disappear

Crumpled in a pocket or a cup holder. At month end, nobody knows what the bar actually spent.

How it works

  1. Set up

Add your areas, vendors and products, or import them from a spreadsheet. Give each person a 5-digit PIN.

  2. Print the QR binder

Print labels by category for a binder at each station, or stick them on shelves and racks.

  3. Scan to add

A cook scans the label and taps Add. The item lands on that area’s shared list with their name on it.

  4. Shop by vendor

The shopper starts one trip, walks each store once, checks items off and photographs the receipt.

Two ways to scan

Every product gets its own QR code. Keep the codes in a binder at the station or stick them on the shelf edge. Either way, staff scan what's running low and it lands on their area's shopping list.

From the binder

Example
A cook in an apron holds a phone over an open white three-ring binder filled with QR labels and colored category tabs.

Chicken thighs · 40 lb → added to Kitchen list

  • Proteins
  • Produce
  • Dairy
  • Dry goods
  • Condiments
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Paper & disposables
  • Beverages

At the shelf

Example
A restaurant staff member scans a QR sticker on the edge of a metal storeroom shelf holding boxes, bags and jugs, with a label beneath each item.

Canola oil · 35 lb → added to Kitchen list

Same QR codes either way. Print them from Web Admin, or ask us for adhesive or magnetic labels.

Or just scan the barcode

Most of what you buy already has a barcode. Scan it once and ShopperGO fills in the name, brand and size, so building your product list takes minutes instead of an afternoon of typing. Packaged goods need no label at all; keep QR labels for produce, bulk bins and house-made items.

A cook scans the barcode on a generic oil jug on a warehouse store shelf.

Scan → confirm

Example

A package barcode, ready to scan.

Confirm the details before saving it to your restaurant’s product list.

No typing
Name, brand and size filled in from public product databases.
Right product, right size
The barcode is exact: no mixing up the 1 gal and the 5 gal.
Works anywhere
In the walk-in, at the warehouse club, at the cash & carry.

We can print them for you

Lister: scan and tap Add

Each area keeps one shared list. Cooks, bartenders and bakers scan a label with their phone or a shared tablet, and the item joins the list with their name. No typing, no training beyond “scan and tap Add”.

  • Several people can add to the same list at the same time.
  • Areas that need it go to a manager for approval before shopping.
  • Works in a basement walk-in with no signal and sends when it reconnects.

The Shopper app’s trip view with the same example lists, merged by store. Open a store to see items, and expand an item for who asked.

Shopper: every store once

Every approved list merges into one trip grouped by vendor. Quantities add up across areas, and each item still shows who asked for it and how many.

  • Check off as you go, mark items unavailable or pick a substitute.
  • Photograph the receipt at each stop. It stays with the trip for good.
  • Move an item to another store when one is out.

Web Admin: the record

Set up areas, vendors, products and staff from a computer. Print the QR binder. Look up any past list or trip and see who asked, who bought it, where, for how much, with the receipt photo.
